WHAT TO EXPECT

• When an appointment is made we will give you a time frame when we will arrive
• Please have your patient dropped off ~ 60 minutes prior to the scheduled time
• Prior to consultation patients should be fasted 10-12 hours (please advise clients to not withhold water). For young puppies, kittens and for diabetic patients please discuss different fasting instructions prior to exam with Dr. McBrien
• Patients will be shaved over area of study
• The scan will require the aid of your staff
• Please prepare clients for the possible need of sedation; also obtain permission for aspirates (after discussion of associated risk) from clients prior to consultation
• We will review the findings and recommendations with you at that time; a written ultrasound report, case review and treatment plan will be generated within 24 hours
